Gameplay Walkthrough

William is the new and improved Strong Human Shield designed to defend his teammates and hinder his enemies. Additionally, William’s Rush and Special Weapon provides that extra layer of survivability that is needed to withstand the damage output of the enemy team, along with his Active Skill giving an alternative approach to controlling those enemies:

Rush

Typically, especially on a Defense Team, Human Shield characters will use Human Shield almost every turn, except when the character’s Rush is available. William’s Rush is a great way to not only refresh is ability to absorb damage (via Defense and Bonus HP), but also provides that benefit to other members of the team. This allows William to more safely utilize his Rush while not jeopardizing the safety of his own team members.

Active

William’s Active Skill allows him to Stun 3 enemies for 1 turn. This is a great effect for controlling the battle more directly, especially when using William on an Attack team. This active also helps fight against characters that have or utilize Focus (while William is on Attack or Defense), since Focus does not prevent Stun effects from occurring.

Specialist Skill

Human Shield is a powerful Specialist Skill that forces the enemy team to direct all actions at the character using Human Shield. This allows you to more efficiently protect your other team members from being killed, especially when combined with a second Human Shield character. With William’s Rush and Weapon Skill, William can really take a beating from oncoming attacks, making him take Human Shield to the next level.

Special Weapon

This Weapon Skill provides a better chance for William to regain +20% HP when being attacked (similar to Holly’s Bonus HP weapon effect). This effect triggers before the damage is dealt to William, which can prove to be a lifesaver as William gets bombarded with attacks from the enemy team (due to Human Shield). Occasionally, William will regain almost all of his HP from this effect due to either the number of enemies attacking him, or when he is being attacked by characters with a multi-attack Rush.
