War Season 5 Event Times
Start Date: 10/21/22 5:00 PM PST

War Season 5 begins Friday, October 21st, 2022, with the first Cross-Region War Qualifier. Once again, the top 100 factions at the end of the last qualifier will be invited to War of Champions!
War Season 5 Changes
For War Season 5, we are reducing Stronghold Bonus Points for CRW qualifiers and WoC to decrease the emphasis on War Strongholds for point accumulation. We wanted to shift away from War Strongholds being the main method to accumulate War Points. With that in mind, we will increase the amount of solo and faction points for Surviving War Defense Camps considerably for Cross-Region War Qualifiers. War Stronghold Bonus Points for occupying a Stronghold will be reduced to 100 Points. Surviving Camp Bonus Point Structure can be found below.
Eris was a unique Gold Mythic Fighter available exclusively for participating in Season 4 WoC. Moving forward, players can play in the War of Champions to earn the seasonal WoC Exclusive Fighter or wait for the next WoC for an opportunity to purchase an offer containing 5 copies of the previous season’s fighter, available ONLY in the WoC Region. In order to purchase this offer, a player must be in the WoC Region, so they must qualify for WoC in the top 100 factions.
Finally, we will add the Smith Region to the Cross-Region War pool to participate in War Season 5. We will also be resetting all players’ Region Transfer Cooldowns at 4pm PST on Wednesday, October 19th, 2022 so players can get into place before the first CRW Qualifier of Season 5. Region Transfers will lock at 4pm on December 2nd, 2022, as the 4th CRW Qualifier begins. See below for the tentative schedule.
War Season Rewards
We have removed Gold Mythic Tokens entirely from the Season 5 War Rewards structure. We understand players have been looking for new, updated rewards in our War events, and we are excited to announce players can now look for reworked, reduced milestones that include up to 2,000 Ultra Mythic Tokens! Rank Rewards has also been reworked this season, with 3,000 Ultra Mythic Tokens being rewarded for 1st place in a CRW and scaling down to 1,000 for the lowest rank reward. Plus, War Energy Refills that were a part of the Milestones have all been changed to Energy Choice Boxes, letting players decide which Energy Refill they receive! The War Milestones will now max out at 200,000 War Points. All the rewards previously included in the War Season 4 milestones have been included in the 200,000 War Points milestone so as not to remove any rewards beyond Gold Mythic Tokens. With this adjustment to the War Rewards, we’re also going to include more in the War Season Gray Market for players to play for during War! This season will feature the exclusive War Season Fighter, and previous seasonal fighters will be available at a deeper discount than ever! Plus, we’ll be adding more items to the Gray Market, including a choice box containing Spray Paint, Super Glue, Polishing Kit, and Duct Tape, along with Choice Silver Mythics, Blowtorches, Benedicts, and a Random Paragon Mod! - The 1st Place Winner of War of Champions Faction’s name will be featured on all Season 6 War Maps, as a tribute to the last season’s champion!
- The War of Champions Winner will receive an exclusive 5-Star War Of Champions Weapon shortly after War of Champions!
- Not only will this weapon have unique art, but the winning faction will have that special 5-Star weapon named after the Faction and rewarded to all its members.
- To further celebrate the Faction’s achievement as best in the game, all players in the game will have an opportunity to purchase this War of Champions Weapon for a limited time.
- The Walking Dead team will provide the art and stats of this exclusive weapon and will attach the Winning Faction’s name. Winning Faction will not influence weapon design.
- For the weapon to be named after the winning faction, the faction’s name must adhere to our Terms of Service. Scopely reserves the right to reject a faction’s weapon naming reward if that faction name violates Terms of Service.
