Our next update, 33.0 is almost ready to release! Before it goes live, we want to give you the opportunity to test some of the new features and earn some Gold Coins at the same time! Here are some of the new features that will be introduced.
Limit Break 3
We are excited to unleash the final stage of character progression, Limit Break 3! This will unlock the final ability upgrades and complete the final artwork for your fighters and during Public Beta, you will be rewarded with Gold Coins for upgrading Fighters to Limit Break 3! You can check out the monument to see every fighter’s final form and maxed out abilities, now that it’s all unlocked!
Challenge Run Tournaments
Once players complete a trait’s 240 Challenge Run stages they will unlock the Challenge Shop and a special Tournament Run for each trait! Players will use new Tournament Run Energy to compete against other players for daily rewards! To get placement on the daily leaderboard, players will need to complete all 5 stages of the trait’s Tournament Run for that day. To get the best score, take the least amount of damage possible in each of the five stages. If you think you can do better after the first attempt, you can run the 5 stages again to attempt to improve your score! If it doesn’t go well, don’t worry! Only your best score will be used on the leaderboard. Rank against other players for Gear, Armory Tokens and the new Challenge Tokens to spend in the new Challenge Shop.
Challenge Shop
The new Challenge Shop will be found in the Gray Market and will use new Challenge Tokens rewarded from Tournament Run. Challenge Tokens will be used in the Gray Market for Gear Medals. During the Public Beta for this test, players will instead be able to redeem Challenge Tokens for Gold Coins!
Scopely ID
We are excited to introduce new rewards for syncing your account with our own Scopely ID. This ID is shared across the entire Scopely portfolio of games and when you link your TWD RTS account, you will receive a Gold Mythic Choice Token for a copy of Gold Mythic Rick or Gold Mythic Negan! When you test this feature in our Public Beta we will be sending this Gold Mythic Choice Token to all your active regions, along with 50 Gold Coins to your current region when the Public Beta ends. NOTE: Players will have to unlink their Facebook connection to attach Scopely ID.
Public Beta ONLY Changes
Please note the following differences to help the testing process:
- Tournament Run Energy can be refilled for 1 material.
- Challenge Runs will be open every day, except each run having one off day.
- The Challenge Shop will allow you to redeem Challenge Tokens won from Tournament Run for a limited number of Gold Coins.
- As with the original Challenge Run public beta, fighters can be ascended with a single Silver Mythic.
- Also as in the original Challenge Run public beta, the Armory will be much faster to use in this Public Beta, so you can test different weapons quickly.
These new features are available to test in the Public Beta test region over the next few days, so if you’re on Android here’s a quick guide on how to join the Beta Program.

Please do note that the nature of a Public Beta, for features that are currently in development, may contain bugs that impact your ability to engage with the live game.
